State School is a White Ribbon School. This means we are committed to breaking
the silence on Domestic and Family Violence and to say it is not ok.
On Monday
the 27th of November, all students, staff and parents were invited to wear
white and to ‘Get out of the way for a day’. This meant that when we noticed
that we were bigger than another person, we made a big effort to get out of the
smaller person’s way.

State School is a White Ribbon School participating in the Breaking the Silence
Program. This is an Australia wide program focussing on standing up and
speaking out to end physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and financial domestic
abuse. Our school culture promotes healthy, respectful relationships throughout
the whole school community.
