While schools currently remain open, Education Queensland is continuing to update the learning@home website with new resources for students in Prep to Year 10. Students will also be able to view quality curriculum-based television programs on three different stations – programming information can be found on the learning@home website.

In the event of a school closure, Bli Bli State School has a plan in place to support all children to engage with learning during such a time.  Communication will occur through classrooms teachers, they will share with families a work program for the school days during a school closure. Families will receive an email from the teacher of each of their children, and every child will be engaging with the same work program, whether they are at home or at school.

Our approach is a program of work that is designed to be dipped in and out of as needed, and as your home routines permit. Families are also welcome to use their home environment for learning, and engage with their children in tasks such as cooking, boardgames, retelling a movie or storybook, and play outside. The work program supplied is to be accessed as it best fits your family needs.

The program will arrive via email as a pdf document, with activities and plans included. We intend that it can be used from a screen, with most work completed on paper found at home. We will provide printed copies for any family that requires, or would prefer, this.
