If you live in the Bli Bli State School catchment you are always welcome to enrol. At Bli Bli State School there is no waitlist or expression of interest for families that live in our catchment.
Enrolment packs for 2022 will be available from the 12th July for collection from the school office. A supply of Enrolment packs are supplied to our neighbouring Kindy's. For 2022 enrolments we encourage you to join an upcoming Principal's tour.
Bli Bli State School operates under an Enrolment Management Plan, this requires parents or legal guardians who wish to enrol their child at Bli Bli to demonstrate that the student's place of residence is within the school's catchment area. Check your address to see if you live within the catchment area for Bli Bli State School.
Families living outside of our catchment area are welcome to apply for enrolment at Bli Bli State School for Prep in 2022. We ask that you submit an 'Out of catchment' Expression of Interest (PDF, 336KB) to the office (in person or via email) to register your intention to enrol.

Applications for Prep 2022
Please follow these simple steps to apply for enrolment in Prep in 2022 at Bli Bli State School:
1. Discover our unique school
A. Principal’s tour
Come along to a Principal’s tour (every few weeks during term) and learn more about our school including our mission and values, and the variety of academic, cultural, sporting and social opportunities that will challenge, stimulate and excite your children.

B. Buzzy Bees playgroup
Our school-based playgroup is a great way to discover our unique school community. Younger siblings of our enrolled students or children from our community aged 12 months to school age are welcome to join our Playgroup Queensland registered playgroup – Bli Bli Buzzy Bees. Hosted by school staff, our playgroup runs every Tuesday and Thursday of the school term, from 9am to 10.30am. Our Buzzy Bees Playgroup flyer (PDF, 195KB) provides more information.
2. Complete the written application process
Contact our office to request the 'Enrolment and permissions' package.
(This includes our student enrolment form, enrolment agreement, student media consent form, our 2022 Prep Parent Questionnaire and ICT agreement.)
Separate application forms must be completed for each enrolling child. Please submit these to the office (via email or in person) prior to the transition program commencing.

3. Attend the Orientation and Transition Program
A. Orientation Program
In October, all pre-prep children will attend two mornings across two weeks, learning and playing in a Prep classroom with a Prep teacher. During this time all parents and carers will meet with key school leaders to discover important information about starting school at Bli Bli State School and to participate in question and answer sessions.
Orientation Mornings run across two weeks in late October, early November. Your child will attend two (2) mornings within these weeks.

B. Transition interview
In November, all parents and carers will attend a transition interview with a school leader. The purpose of this interview is to ensure a smooth transition for your child. We will discuss the details of your enrolment application, including the Prep Parent Questionnaire and answer any questions that you may have.
You and your child are asked to attend the interview and to bring the following items (if you have yet to submit your enrolment paperwork):
Each child’s birth certificate.
Current passport and visa for any child born overseas.
Each child’s transition report from their kindergarten program.
Relevant doctor or specialist reports.
Evidence that your principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area.
